We are a diverse group of artisans and creatives from Afghanistan, Iran, Ukraine & Greece.
Rain Lab uses fashion to empower people who arrive in Greece hoping for a better future.
The goal of our workshop is to help women to empower themselves in the workplace and therefore gain a better future with dignity.
We began Rain Lab with the purpose to create meaningful employment opportunities and sustainable income for refugees in Athens.
Here, each person finds professional development, a supportive team, and a welcoming space for creativity. Through creativity, advocacy, and community, Rain Lab seeks to support individuals in the greater process of self-sustainability.
Every employee acquires:
- technical training and skill development in handmade product creation
- fully legal experience in a formal Greek/European company
- CV assistance and & reference letters
- viable income for financial independence
- social integration
At Rain Lab, we work with each of our employees in the path to achieve their goals and dreams. We prioritize relationships, getting to know each new team member and encouraging them.
For some, the desire is a future rooted in Greece. While for others, our time is limited as they await paperwork to make a home elsewhere in the EU. Whether we have the privilege of working together long-term, or being a stepping stone to a future elsewhere, Rain Lab enables self-sustainability and empowerment in the journey.
Our handcrafted products are an expression of this pursuit.
Each product created at Rain Lab weaves new hope and confidence in place of unfulfilled promises that brought them and their families to Greece's shores.

OUR STORY
In recent years we have been actively involved as volunteers in refugee support programmes, through which we provide clothing and food. The idea of Rain Lab was "born" out of the realization that this offer is not enough, because refugees need to be integrated into the community they live in.
2021 was the incubation year of researching, planning, and working towards this. December 2021, the dream became a reality as we first began working with the talented and beautiful women in the Rain Lab team, developing beautiful products. March 2022 we publicly launched for sales, and the journey is just beginning.
We are passionate about ethical fashion, and we are proud of our artisans, our process, and our products.
