Αt Rain Lab, I Felt a Light Switch on in Me
My name is Z., I am from Afghanistan and for the last few years I have been living in Greece with my daughter. When I arrived here as a refugee, I was looking for a long time a job and finally I managed to find one in a hair salon.
After 2 months, I was told that I wasn't good enough for the position and because I was not hired yet, but being tested, I didn't deserve a salary. I felt so bad that I was taken advantage of and I couldn't accept that I had been used.
Having studied tailoring in Iran, the door was finally opened for me to work at Rain Lab. It is very important for me to earn an income, because I will be able to rent at least one room for me and my daughter, without having to stay in social structures.

The many difficulties and enormous challenges I have faced over the years have made me feel some times that my life has stopped.
But since I started working at Rain Lab, I feel like a light has turned on in me... And while I had lost hope before, now I have found it and I can start my life again.
Whenever I'm here, I feel good and my colleagues make me happy! At Rain Lab I find acceptance as a refugee and receive a lot of kindness. Now my only hope is in this place.
